Our commitment

WasteGrab is committed to making wastegrab.com usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice control, screen magnifiers, or other assistive technology. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as the baseline.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML (proper headings, landmarks, lists, labeled form controls)
  • Keyboard-accessible navigation, modals, and the AI quote tool
  • Color contrast ratios that meet WCAG AA across body text and interactive elements
  • Alternative text on all images that convey meaning
  • aria-label and aria-hidden on interactive controls and decorative icons
  • Form fields with visible labels and clear error messaging
  • A reduced-motion media query that disables non-essential animations for visitors who request it
  • A mobile layout that works at 320px wide and at 200% zoom
  • Alternative paths to book: every flow that's available in the app is also available by phone or email

Where we're still working

We're a small team and the site is a living thing. Known areas we're improving:

  • The address-autocomplete in the booking form is a third-party widget (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) and the keyboard handling there is functional but not perfect — we're working on a fully native replacement.
  • Some chart visualizations in the admin dashboard are decorative SVG and don't yet have accessible text alternatives. (The admin is owner-only.)

Booking by phone

You never have to use the website to book a pickup. Call us at (682) 382-2992 and we'll take everything by phone — your address, your items, your preferred window — and text or email you the confirmation in whichever format you prefer.
